Sizing & Fit
What size does The Belt come in?
One size. The Belt ships longer than you need and trims to fit — works for roughly 28"–42" waists (men's XXL down to women's small). Cut to length and seal the cut edge with a quick pass of a lighter to keep it from fraying.
Will it fit my belt loops?
Yes. The Belt is built to standard 1.5" width and passes through normal belt loops on jeans, work pants, and most hiking and tactical pants. If your pants have a belt loop, it works.
Does it come in different sizes?
Not yet. One size fits the overwhelming majority of waists (roughly 28"–42" — men's XXL down to women's small), and you cut off the excess if you need to.
I have a 48" waist. Will this fit me?
Our standard run is comfortable up to a 42" waist. If you're larger than that and you want one, email support@artamisoutdoors.com — the upside of controlling our manufacturing is we can build custom sizes on demand for an additional cost and lead time.
What about women?
It's currently a unisex design, and fits down to roughly a women's small. The pouches sit at the back and work toward the hips. You'll want to trim excess off the end of the belt. If you're outside the standard range, email us about a custom build.
Will it fit my elastic hiking shorts or pants?
If they have belt loops, yes. If they don't, we're not sure how you'd keep it in place. In that case, you could wear it bandolier-style across the torso.
Does it work with a tactical belt?
It depends on how you use it. It's stiff enough to run OWB or IWB, and the buckle holds. You can wear it under a duty belt with keepers. But it's not built to replace a fully loaded duty belt setup.
Shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship anywhere you're willing to pay the freight. If you don't see your country as an option at checkout, email info@artamisoutdoors.com and we'll work it out.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed and shipped typically within 5–7 business days from our Utah warehouse. Delivery time depends on your location and the shipping method you choose at checkout. You'll get an email notification the moment your order ships.
We have seen on occasion USPS report 'delivered' and the delivery take a few days - if it hasn't gotten to you, be patient for an extra 2 - 3 days after USPS shows delivered before contacting us.
Who pays for shipping?
You do. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight, and is the responsibility of the customer unless stated otherwise in a promotional offer.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@artamisoutdoors.com with photos of the damage and your order number. If it was damaged in shipping, we'll ship a replacement at no cost to you.
I contacted you — when will you hear back?
We try to respond to all purchase questions within 72 hours. If it's been longer than that, email us again — just like you miss emails, we occasionally do too. We only respond to purchase and order questions through support@artamisoutdoors.com. If you DM us on social media or ask about your order in a comment reply, we won't respond there — and we may delete the comment. Email is the channel.
Returns & Warranty
What's your return policy?
Every belt is inspected by hand before it ships. If you ever receive a defect — a faulty zipper, bad stitching, anything that's our fault — we'll replace it, no hassle. We build these to last, and we stand behind every one.
Because each belt is made in a small batch, we don't accept returns or exchanges for fit or preference — so check the sizing guide before you order (one size fits 28"–42", trims to fit).
I got it for my husband, but he doesn't like the color.
We understand gifts, and if the wrong color got picked, we'll swap it — let us know within 7 days of delivery. Customer pays return shipping, The Belt must be returned unworn with the original tag attached, and we'll switch it out. Once a belt has been worn in the field, it's yours.
What if my belt is defective?
If your belt has a defect in materials or workmanship, we'll make it right. Reach out within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and we'll replace it or refund you — our call based on what's available.
What if it arrives damaged?
Shipping damage or DOA — that's on us. Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we'll ship a replacement as soon as we confirm it was damaged in shipping.
What counts as normal wear vs. a defect?
This is outdoor gear. It's built to be used hard — hiking, hunting, working. Scuffs, fading, and general wear from use are normal and not defects. We've taken these belts off over 7,500 times in prototyping and we know the difference between thread wear and a quality issue. We stand behind our manufacturing — not the miles you put on it.
What if something breaks?
We're a small business and reasonable people. You'd be surprised how often people change their mind, break something on purpose, and try to return it. That said, sometimes things really do fail. If you think yours was defective, email support@artamisoutdoors.com with an order number, photos (3 – 4 please), and we'll check it out.

Use & Function
What can I carry in it?
Most people carry a mix of: sunscreen packets, bandaids, pain reliever pouches, sting wipes, blister pads, cash, a folded note, medication, tweezers, chapstick, and similar small essentials. We also sell pre-curated kits if you want a starting point.
How much weight can it carry comfortably?
It's designed for low-profile essentials, not heavy gear. Plan on loading it up to about 8 oz total without it feeling bulky.
How do I open it? Is it easy one-handed?
Yes. Both zippers are designed for one-handed access and are covered by fabric so they don't snag or dangle. Pull the tab forward to open, back to close. With a little practice you'll get to it without looking.
Will it bounce around when I'm hiking or running?
Cinch it and close the buckle and it stays put. We haven't seen it bounce on trail runs. If you're trail running or doing high-impact movement, you may feel slight movement — it's not a race vest. For hiking, hunting, and everyday carry it stays in place.
Is it waterproof?
It's water-resistant, not waterproof. The water-resistant zippers and 300D Cordura shell handle rain, snow, sweat, and splashes. Don't swim with it, and don't count on a dry interior if you go fully submerged.
Can I wear it in the shower?
You could. We'd suggest you don't. Also — why?
Will TSA take it from me?
The Belt is just a carry system — no different than a small pouch on your belt. We fly with it all the time loaded with medical supplies. What's inside is subject to the usual TSA rules. Don't put a knife in it and then blame us.
My dog may try to eat it. Is it dog-proof?
Bridger chewed one up. It is, in fact, not dog-proof.
Construction & Durability
What is it made of?
The belt itself is heavy-duty nylon webbing, load-rated at 500kg with no deformation per our manufacturer's spec. Could you hang off it? Yes. Should you? Probably not. The pouches are 300D Cordura nylon — the same weight used by tactical brands like Blue Force Gear and Tactical Tailor. Weather-resistant, abrasion-proof, and built for daily wear.
Are the zippers waterproof?
The zippers are water-resistant, not waterproof. They shed water, resist freezing or jamming in cold weather, and are reinforced with bartacks at each end.
Will the pouches hold up to a river crossing or heavy rain?
The water-resistant zippers and Cordura shell give strong protection against rain, snow, and splashes. It's not rated for full submersion — don't count on a dry interior if you go swimming with it. In that case, we have taken a small zip-loc bag, put all of the contents in it, placed it in the carry pouches. If you are in a really wet environment and it's exposed constantly, you should probably use the zip-loc method and everything will stay dry.
How do I clean it?
Wipe down with a damp cloth. For heavier grime, use mild soap and water with a soft brush. Air dry. Don't throw it in the washing machine.
Wearability
Is it comfortable to wear all day?
That's the whole point. The 1" gap between pouches sits on your spine so nothing presses on your back, and the pouches stay low-profile — under a jacket or untucked shirt, most people don't notice you're wearing it.
Will it show under my shirt?
The pouches ride low and flat. Under an untucked shirt or jacket it's invisible. Under a tight, tucked shirt you'll see a slight profile at the lower back — no more than a thick leather belt.
Can I wear it with a backpack?
Yes — we do all the time. One reason the pouches are at the back rather than the sides is so a pack hip belt rides above them. It's been used on multiple multi-day expeditions with 40-pound packs and nobody complained, except to say they were glad they had essentials on them when they forgot to pack them.
Use Cases
Who is this designed for?
Hunters, hikers, and anyone who spends time outdoors where going back to a pack for essentials is a hassle. Moms and dads at Disneyland use it. It's popular with first responders and people who want discrete everyday carry of trauma supplies. We have one SWAT EMT who fills both pouches with ibuprofen because the guys he supports constantly ask for it.
Can I use it as an EDC belt around town?
Absolutely. Many customers wear it daily — it looks like a regular belt with a slightly reinforced back section.
Is this a replacement for a trauma kit?
No. It's a wearable carry system. What you put in it is your business.
Could I loop this around a tree branch and hang from it in an emergency flood situation?
Anything is possible. Would you survive? We have no idea.
Made in America
Is The Belt really made in America?
Yes. Designed and manufactured in the United States. Not assembled overseas and finished here — made here, in Utah.
Why don't you build overseas?
We care about our community. If the Belt costs a few dollars more per unit to be built down the road from us so our neighbors or their kids can have better lives, it's worth it to us and we hope it's worth it to you. We're not faceless people on an assembly line or behind an Amazon drop-ship business — we're real people you can call or meet at shows. It also means if something's wrong, we can fix it without waiting six weeks for a boat.
Can you make a purple one?

About Our Kits
Do I have to buy a kit or can I fill it myself?
We sell four curated kits (Hiker, Hunter, EDC, Trail Family) as a starting point, or you can fill it yourself. You can always come back and buy another. In our experience, you'll use things over time and you'll refill as you go. Belt is a platform — carry whatever makes sense for how you move.
Can I carry my own medications in it?
Absolutely. The Belt doesn't care what you put in it — it just wants to be used.
What is included in an Artamis kit?
Artamis kits (Hiker, Hunter, EDC, and Trail Family) contain a pre-selected assortment of over-the-counter (OTC) consumable items such as bandages, pain relievers, antihistamines, antacids, sunscreen, sting relief wipes, blister pads, and/or tweezers depending on the kit. Exact contents are listed on the product page.
What's the difference between the four kits?
We built based on what we and users carry. Hiker is built for full days on trail — sunscreen, blister pads, pain relief, wound care. Hunter is field-dressing ready — alcohol wipes, bandaids, pain relief, antacid (that early morning meal comes back), tweezers. EDC is your daily carry — everyday pain relief, allergy, antacid, sting wipes. Trail Family is a day out with kids — bandaids, sting wipes, antihistamine, sunscreen, tweezers, because kids are chaos.
Are the items in the kits safe to use?
All items included in Artamis kits are commercially available over-the-counter products sold in compliance with applicable US regulations. However, Artamis Outdoors and Arion Ventures LLC make no medical claims regarding the items included in any kit. All OTC medications included in kits should be used only as directed on their individual product labeling. If you have a known medical condition, allergy, or are taking prescription medications, consult a physician or pharmacist before use.
Is this a medical device or first aid kit?
No. Artamis kits are personal convenience carry kits. They are not certified first aid kits, medical devices, or emergency medical equipment. They are not intended to replace professional medical care, a certified first aid kit, or emergency services. In any medical emergency, call 911.
What if I have an allergic reaction to something in the kit?
Each item included in an Artamis kit carries its own manufacturer's labeling with ingredient information, warnings, and usage instructions. It is your responsibility to review all product labeling before use. Artamis Outdoors and Arion Ventures LLC are not liable for adverse reactions resulting from use of any item included in a kit.
Do kit contents expire?
Yes. OTC medications and some consumable items carry expiration dates printed on their individual packaging. Artamis kits are assembled with current stock, but expiration dates will vary by item. Check individual item packaging for expiration information. Artamis Outdoors is not responsible for items used past their manufacturer's expiration date.
What is Artamis Outdoors' liability for kit contents?
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Arion Ventures LLC, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, illness, adverse reaction, loss, or damage of any kind arising from the use or misuse of any item included in an Artamis kit. By purchasing an Artamis kit, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer and accept full responsibility for appropriate use of all included items in accordance with their individual product labeling.
Can I return a kit if I don't use it?
No.
I ordered a Hiking kit add-on but it looks like it's a Hunter kit add-on. What do I do?
Email support@artamisoutdoors.com with an order number, photos, and the inventory. We'll get you taken care of.
Intellectual Property
Is The Belt patented?
The Belt is protected under a USPTO provisional patent application — the full utility patent is in process. All product designs, brand assets, and content on artamisoutdoors.com are the property of Arion Ventures LLC. Unauthorized reproduction, copying, or creating derivative versions for sale is prohibited and will be pursued — we have a family attorney on standby, and we have the resources to outlast you in the legal system.
Can I resell Artamis products?
Artamis products are sold for personal use. Resale without written authorization from Arion Ventures LLC is not permitted. If you're interested in wholesale or retail partnership opportunities, we'd love to hear from you — contact us at info@artamisoutdoors.com and flag it as 'wholesale inquiry' in the subject line.
What does patent pending mean?
It means we've filed a provisional patent application with the USPTO protecting the design of The Belt. The full utility patent is in process. Translation: don't copy it, we'll sue you.
Can I copy the design and sell it myself?
No. But 3 points for reading the FAQ this far.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of artamisoutdoors.com (the "Site") and any products purchased from Artamis Outdoors, operated by Arion Ventures LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to make a purchase. By placing an order, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Pricing. All prices are listed in US dollars. We reserve the right to update pricing at any time. The price displayed at checkout is the price you will pay for that order.

7. Intellectual Property. All content on the Site — including text, images, logos, product designs, and the "Artamis" and "ARTMS" marks — is the property of Arion Ventures LLC and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. The Belt is protected under a USPTO provisional patent application ("Concealed First Aid Storage Belt System"). You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Site content without our prior written consent. Unauthorized resale of Artamis products is prohibited.
8. User Conduct. You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its operation, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, or to scrape, copy, or harvest content from the Site.
9. Product Information. We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, and specifications on the Site are accurate. We do not warrant that descriptions are error-free, complete, or current.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties. The Site and all products are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Except as expressly stated in our Refund Policy and lifetime defect guarantee, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site or products, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arion Ventures LLC, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or any product purchased through the Site. The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security." In addition, any information you send to us may not be secure while in transit.
